*Tuition is due on the 15th of the preceding month. For families with more than one child enrolled, there is a 5% discount on the eldest child's tuition until January, 2021.

**Tuition rates increase annually based on market trends and increase in minimum wage. We work to provide adequate pay to our employees and therefore are currently increasing our tuition near 5% annually.

Tours and Application Process:
The first step in the enrollment process is completion of our application along with a $30 fee to be on our waitlist. *At this time we are only offering virtual tours to families when space becomes available for enrollment.
Spaces become available when current families graduate to kindergarten, choose to adjust their schedule or move. When a space does become available, we turn to our waitlist and determine best fit based on desired start date, age and schedule. Because we are unable to predict what spaces will become available, we cannot predict when there will be an opening to fit your specific needs for care. However, increased flexibility in start date and days of care can improve likelihood of openings that will meet your needs.
If we do have a space that meets both your needs and ours, we then ask families to join us for a Virtual Tour, this is an opportunity to view our school without children or teachers present. After this, we may offer enrollment, at which point you will have one week to determine if you'd like to enroll. If you decide to enroll, there is a $250 enrollment fee and a parent provider contract that agrees to your start date and tuition costs with a 60 day cancellation policy(i.e. if your contract states your start date as September 1st, you are required to pay up to November 1st if you decide to no longer enroll with us). This is to ensure our ability to prosper as a small business. Once we’ve confirmed enrollment, we can provide an After Hours Tour for you to visit our space in person with your child prior to their first day of care.
Illness Policy
We are required by the state to keep children out of care who exhibit the following symptoms:
Diarrhea (more than one abnormally loose, runny, watery, or bloody stool);
Vomiting Fever over 100 degrees F taken under the arm;
Severe cough Unusual yellow color to skin or eyes;
Skin or eye lesions that are severe, weeping, or pus-filled;
Stiff neck and headache with one or more of the symptoms listed above;
Difficult breathing or abnormal wheezing;
Complaints of severe pain.
If a child has mild cold symptoms that do not impair his/her functioning, the child may remain in care.
School Closures
A calendar of school closures for the September-August year will be available by June 1st annually.
We will also follow Portland Public School's decisions regarding closures for inclement weather.

Child/Staff Ratios
The ratios determined by the Childcare Division for Certified Family Homes are 1:4 for children 6 weeks-2 years in age, and 1:10 for children 2 years-5 years. However, we will maintain child to staff ratios that are lower in order to provide the best care possible. With a capacity for 12 children at the Rose House and 15 and the Oak House, we will have 3-4 teachers working daily at each home depending on enrollment.
*COVID-19 update: capacity has been adjusted to 11 children at our Oak House location with 2-3 teachers, and 8 children at our Rose House location with 2-3 teachers
